Will our Video Use, Develop or Challenge conventions?
As many music videos in this genre are quite similar and use similar conventions to positive effect, we have decided to use and develop current conventions for our music video.
We will be sticking to a basic narrative with some shots that are cut between during the video. We intend to have performance shots (of the singer singing and dancers dancing) , conceptual shots (that represent themes portrayed in both the lyrics and narrative), and shots that solely present the narrative.
So our basic plan is to mix a few conventional ideas together to make something conventional but with a slight step forward and inclusion of more content.
