Audience Feedback

During Construction (Editing)
While we were putting together our music video, we got some insight and feedback from another group.

Positive FeedbackCriticism
The use of colours and variety of colour effects usedLack of Performance Shots
The shot of Mervedy dancing in front of a light
How the intro was in perfect timing with the beat

We took this in to consideration and added more performance shots and cut up the shot of Mervedy dancing in front of the light source, so that we could cut between it and use it to a better effect. We also planned on using the technique that we used in the intro again later on in the video.

We received a second source of feedback from our media tutor.

Positive FeedbackCriticism
Variety of shot typesBad Lip Syncing
Intro in time with beatChanges in the tempo of editing
                                                                                               Lack of transitions/Sudden Cuts

We then set out to fix the lip syncing by cutting single frames out of the performance shot and rearranging the video and audio to make his lips move in time with the audio, we attempted to keep the editing in a similarly fast paced tempo throughout until the end where it slows down (This was done due to the change in the song and narrative).
We added a lot of transitions and made sure the cuts all cut on the beat and flowed well, we also used the same method we did in the intro later on in the video to emphasise the sudden change in the music.

Our final product:

I then showed this to a member of our target audience who believed that it was good enough to be the real thing.
